Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms nationally with our staffing services for over 60 years. We have a contract-to-direct Accounting Rep opening at our national/international aerospace client's plant in Auburn, CA (Sacramento region). The contract pay rate range is $28 - $31.50 per hour (with some flexibility). Initially this position will be mostly onsite, then when the contractor converts to a salaried direct employee, it will be hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 offsite).
FYI, this location also has an opening for a salaried direct accounting manager.
There will be very manual processes initially (i.e., manually performing three-way match in both Sage and Shopkeeper). In the near future Oracle will be implemented automating things. The position reports to the Controller. The duties include AP/AR and processing invoices.
The Accounting Rep calculates, posts, verifies, and reconciles financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
- Perform maintenance of the general ledger
- Prepare various accounting statements
- Prepare various financial reports
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll
- Responsible for accounts payable or receivable functions
- Reconcile accounts payable subledger and resolve any discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Work under general supervision
- Must comply with company policies and procedures, as well as federal & state regulations
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
An Associate's degree in Accounting (extensive experience may be considered over the degree)
Min 5 years of experience in Accounting that includes a strong understanding of bookkeeping, strong PC skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
This is an ITAR facility - U.S. Persons Required (Green Card Ok)

Sage & Shopkeeper Accounts Payable experience
Manufacturing experience
