Chatbot Software Developer Intern

Purpose:

* Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a skilled Chatbot Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using open-source software to create and integrate a chatbot into some of our existing tools. This an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience in AI and chatbot development, and to contribute to an innovative project that will enhance user interaction and engagement with our system. The intern will work closely with our IT team and will be involved in all stages of the chatbot development process, from design to deployment. This position requires a commitment to learning, a passion for problem-solving, and a keen interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.

Job Description:

* Design, develop, and integrate a chatbot into our tools using open-source software.

* Collaborate with the development team to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

* Write effective and scalable code.

* Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance.

* Test and debug chatbots. Ensure that the chatbot effectively answers user inquiries.

* Integrate data storage solutions.

* Implement security and data protection solutions.

* Assess and prioritize feature requests.

* Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Qualifications:

* Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Must have experience with open source chatbot development platforms such as Microsoft Bot Framework, Dialogflow, or Rasa.

* Must have proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.

* Must have experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms.

* Must have knowledge of databases and server-side languages.

* Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.

* Must have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

* Must have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

* Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

* Certification in AI or Machine Learning from a recognized institution.

Security Requirements:

* Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.

* Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installations if necessary.

Travel Requirements:

* Occasional Travel- less than 10%

Physical Requirements:

* Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

* Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
