WAGE :$15/hour

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal

SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Retail Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: The selling and merchandising of mountain sports clothing and accessories. Hold basic knowledge of the retail Industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain a friendly, professional, and outgoing attitude. Being proactive with operational and company needs without direction. Learn and convey product knowledge. Have accurate and consistent cash handling skills. Be responsible for balancing cash tills at the end of each day. Keep work areas and merchandise clean and presentable. Become knowledgeable with Schweitzer Mountain facilities.

PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Include, but are not limited to: standing and walking for up to ten hours/day, lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and reaching above the shoulder often. Hands will be used for grasping, twisting, and fine manipulation. Speech, vision, and hearing are required. Worksite is 98% inside and 2% outside. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be 21 years of age. Neat appearance is required.

AVAILABILITY: Must be available weekends and holidays.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

SKILLS: Must have excellent interactive skills with customers and co-workers. Be capable of learning and practicing company programs & policies. Must have accurate & consistent cash handling skills. Must have a positive attitude and strong people skills.

EDUCATION: English reading, writing, communications and math.

EXPERIENCE: Retail experience preferred and cash handling experience required.

LICENSE NEEDED: None

MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Cash register, calculator, computer, and misc. hand tools.

MENTAL JUDGEMENT / COMPLEXITY: Moderate.
