Job Summary

Our Construction Management team is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for work on Civil Engineering Construction projects in Los Angeles County. This position will be on-site and involves inspecting construction procedures and verifying that work completed by contractors is in accordance with the contract documents for various infrastructure/heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations.

  • Read and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications.

  • Complete daily inspection reports and accurately track change order work.

  • Perform inspection of foundation construction (pile driving/drilling).

  • Perform inspection of roadway construction, falsework placement and removal.

  • Oversee construction of wet and dry utilities.

  • Assist with inspection of large concrete pours.

  • Assist in the documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.

  • Assure general compliance with standards and specifications.

  • Assure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments.

  • Monitor traffic control.

  • Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.

  • Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.

  • P.E. license (State of California) preferred or EIT with ability to become licensed.

  • Experience in and familiar with the concepts and practices of construction management within transportation/infrastructure highway and/or bridge projects.

  • Must have the ability to assist in the resolution of project issues.

  • Exceptional ability to read plans and specifications.

  • This position will be based out of Los Angeles County and will require travel to job site(s) therein.

  • General Computer Skills including Microsoft Office.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $97,800 - $175,900 annually for this position and local market.
