Job Description

We offer our TEAM Members the following benefits:

Pay rates between $19.00-23.50with Attendance Premium of $0.25 and Shift Premiums of $0.50 and $1.00 for hours worked during swing and night shifts. Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service.

  • Upon receipt of chicken waste, weigh the tanks and document (in writing) in a log the product and weight being condemned,i.e., floor waste, whole body condemnation, bruised chicken parts, parts condemned by USDA inspectors, salvaged carcasses, backs and de-boned chicken parts, etc.
  • Use a knob/lever on the condemn machine to lift tank full of chicken waste for dumping into the condemn machine.
  • Once tank is back on floor, push the empty tank (which has wheels) out of the Condemn Room for washing.
  • Keep the Condemn Room clean by using a shovel to pick up leftover product/debris from floor; hose down the floor using a high-pressure hose.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Possess basic math skills for adding up individual product weights; use a calculator to determine the total weight of waste product.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to bend and lift repetitively.
  • Must be able to obtain pallet jack license.
  • Repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling shoveling, fine finger and hand.
  • Coordination required to operate 10-key adding machine.
  • Wash down during breaks and lunch.
