Job Description
Wage Range: $75,837 - $121,306 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Please note, this is a temporary position with length of assignment estimated to be from September 3rd, 2024 through December 2024.

Our school program Social Worker provides crisis intervention and mental health services to a diverse population of high school students, between the ages of 13-18 in the Lake Washington School District.

Job Summary
Social Worker helps students cope with personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, behavior and socialization - this includes providing support and services in addressing social, environmental, psychological, financial and cultural factors related to the student. Our Social Workers schedule closely mirrors that of the school day and year allowing for greater work/life balance.
Primary Duties:
  1. Assists students in accessing appropriate community resources for additional services.
  2. Provides consultation and education to school personnel, parents and families as indicated.
  3. Serves as a resource and assists in developing an integrated approach within the school system to provide a safe, inclusive, supportive and positive school climate among all students.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
  • Masters degree in mental health (social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy).
  • Credentialed (current Washington State licensure): LICSW, LASW, LSWAIC, LSWAA, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of social work experience in a community or school setting.
  • Current Washington State Drivers license and proof of insurability.
DESIRED for the position:
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW).
  • One (1) year of experience working in a school setting
  • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certification as a School Social Worker
