Creating these devices involves a close partnership between hardware and software engineers, designers, and manufacturing. We are currently building the next generation and Surface needs you! We are looking for a Senior Thermal Engineer to focus on the thermal design for the next generation Surface Products. A mix of technical breadth and depth will allow you to work cross-functionally with different disciplines (Industrial Design, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software) to develop compelling innovative products. You will work with internal and external partners, focusing on delivering the next amazing hardware experience for our customers. Responsibilities Work closely with industrial design, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering teams to define the system architecture, product features, and feasibilities through comprehensive thermal simulations in product creation phase. Conduct and lead thermal simulations to understand all thermal design tradeoffs.Lead thermal design reviews and presentations to both internal teams and external partners.Drive new thermal technology developments, implementation, and integrations.Mentor junior thermal engineer and thermal analysts for thermal simulations, fan simulations and acoustic simulations.Overcome simulation challenges in different types of projects, including passive cooling, active cooling, and liquid cooling.Explore new simulation techniques to improve simulation effectiveness and efficiency.Other: Embody our Culture and Values
