Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.The Azure Databases Service Security team is hiring a Principal Program Manager to assist with the project management and technical specifications for operational and functional security initiatives of the Azure Databases organization. The Azure Databases scope includes SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure CosmosDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and all other relational offerings. In this role, you will have opportunity to collaborate with a corresponding blue (defensive) and red (offensive) security engineering teams as well as the broader Azure Data and Azure Security organizations. You will be on the front lines of the discovery and remediation of new security vulnerabilities. Azure Databases is a multi-billion dollar business with millions of databases deployed and exabytes of data stored. Keeping this business secure is of utmost important to Microsoft. ResponsibilitiesDistill high level security guidance from key point indicators and initiatives into actionable steps to be taken by the Azure Databases organization.Track security incidents and repair items across the Azure Databases organization.Prioritize, plan, and track security initiatives across the Azure Databases organization.Work closely with the red and blue teams to proactively identify potential risks and detections.Embody our culture and values
