OverviewMicrosoft Teamsis a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines chat, video meetings and apps. Teams is a ground up product, completely built on Azure cloud platform and cutting-edge Web technologies, serving millions of users world-wide, at scale.We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Teams platform with a focus on application programming interface (API) platform to help design our next-generation programmability and API interfaces within Microsoft Teams and M365. This role involves being part of an exciting journey in redefining workplace productivity solutions, that scale to our worldwide user base, across industry verticals and multitude of platforms and devices. In this position, you will be empowered to make product-wide technical decisions and directly impact the outcomes for this flagship product, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. In this role as a Principal Software Engineer, you will be building solutions that leverage state-of-the-art technologies to deliver the next evolution in collaboration and teamwork. ResponsibilitiesEstablish long term technical strategy and direction for key Platform Initiatives.Create and improve architecture designs for complex end to end scenarios that involve multiple teams and services.Drive the engineering culture to strive for scalable architecture, operational excellence, growth mindset, and being customer obsessed.Influence,lead,and collaborate effectively across leadership,teams,and organizations to drive outcomes.Collaborate with Product teams tomake sure we address key customer needs and put customer feedback incenterof product design.Be hand-on executing projects of high value and impact to the platform.Fosters a healthy and inclusive team environment.Embody our Cultureand Values.
