Job Description:

The Manufacturing Specialist will schedule, coordinate, and direct daily production activities within all areas of the SLM Filling and Filtration department. Will ensure resources are available to the technicians. In addition, will perform technician training, review documentation, and assist in representing the department in outside support department/customer concerns

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Daily coordination of SLM Filling & Filtration technicians - schedules and assigns workload to assure maximum efficiency.
  2. Provides leadership in the department, both as a team leader, and as a spokesperson for outside department concerns.
  3. Responsible for training new technicians including cGMP compliance, safety, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  4. Provides manufacturing expertise - possesses a detailed knowledge of equipment and processes in multiple production areas.
  5. Participates in special projects, coordinates technician assignments in multiple areas of the department.
  6. Oversees area production documents, and performs record reviews.
  7. Assesses production activities, and provides recommendations for process improvement, corrective actions, and training needs.
  8. Optimize and define processes to maximize yield and reduce waste.
  9. Identify, recommend, and implement solutions to process problems in Manufacturing.
  10. Position requires the ability to maintain aseptic qualification and work inside a clean room environment.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelors of Science in Biology, Chemistry or other scientific field desired.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical experience required.
  • Manufacturing production and equipment operation experience required
  • 5 years of related experience desired.
  • Lead experience desired.
  • Microsoft Word required, Excel desired.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required.
  • Knowledge of QA and Manufacturing systems. Must be able to keep abreast of technological advances in automation, computerization, manufacturing techniques and government regulations required.
  • Basic exchange of information.
  • Managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
  • Required ability to make logical decision and produce technical reports to be understood by people not technically trained.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a team environment and contribute to maintaining positive interpersonal relations with various departments.

Shift: Day

Compensation:

The pay rangefor this position is $29.05 - $37.59 depending on experience.
