Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Retirement Sales team as a Relationship Manager, aligned to the Bank/Wirehouse distribution channels!

About the role

As the Relationship Manager, you will manage and develop relationships with Retirement Division partners to drive growth of product sales. You will bring a strong understanding of Symetra products and capabilities and align with partner needs and objectives. This is the face of the account for Symetra both internally and externally.

What you will do

  • Align needs of partner with Symetra capabilities; visit partner; attend and support conferences
  • Attend sales meetings and quarterly update meetings for key assigned relationships
  • Prepare for due diligence trips
  • Prepare and submit monthly account summaries submitted to the Managing Director each month.
  • Participate in the budget process through mid-year reforecasting, forecasting, and sponsorship estimates.
  • Develop Business Plans for larger partner banks.
  • Work with aligned internal partners to support launch of products and services for external partners by participating in project and marketing meetings to drive activities and provide needed context.
  • Work with sales management and sales force to drive sales expansion with partners
  • Provide account training to internal wholesalers
  • Complete sales analysis for monthly report to Managing Director

Compensation

Base Salary: $100,000 annually plus eligibility forincentive compensation

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business or communications or equivalent work experience
  • 10-15 years in insurance, banking, brokerage or investments
  • Relationship Management experience with annuity programs
  • Currently holding Series 6/63 and Life Insurance License
  • Presentation skills; sales and training background; experience with other carriers and on the partner side
