Job Description:

The New Hire Experience Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization's newest team members have a seamless transition into their roles. Incumbent will be responsible for leading new hire orientation sessions, facilitating a positive onboarding experience, and conducting regular check-ins to ensure their integration into the department and overall satisfaction with their role. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leading New Hire Orientation:

  • Develop and conduct engaging orientation sessions for new hires, providing them with an overview of company policies, culture, and expectations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure that new hires receive comprehensive training on relevant tools, systems, and processes.

Ensuring Positive New Hire Experience:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for new hires, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the onboarding process.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during the onboarding period, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to gather feedback on the onboarding process and implement improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate and work with the QA training department to ensure compliance is being met and that training materials are updated as appropriate
  • Work with multiple departments such as IT to ensure a seamless and positive entry into the organization as part of the first experience with the organization.

Transition into the Department:

  • Work closely with department managers to facilitate the integration of new hires into their respective teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to new hires as they acclimate to their roles, helping them establish relationships with colleagues and understand departmental workflows.
  • Monitor new hires' progress and performance, offering assistance and resources as needed to support their success.

New Hire Experience Check-In Process:

  • Conduct regular check-ins with new hires to assess their onboarding experience and address any challenges they may be facing.
  • Solicit feedback from new hires to identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of new hire progress and feedback to inform future onboarding initiatives.
  • Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required, OR 4 years' experience in lieu of degree
  • 2 years of HR or training related experience required
  • Experience with the following software:
    • HRIS, preferably PeopleSoft
    • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to develop training material and present to all levels of the organization.
  • Experience handling analytic requirements of large scale and ability to multi-task projects with limited direction.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer focused; team oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to cope well with change, risk, and uncertainty (ambiguity) and act decidedly with incomplete or imperfect information.
  • Some occasional travel may be required.

Compensation:

  • This position pays $67,725 to $72,500 per year, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
