Job Description

FTSE Russell is establishing a new platform strategy organisation focused on developing target state Index capabilities to transform the core Index Platforms and scale growth for FTSE Russell!

The Product Manager - Index Universe Management will report to the Index Platform Strategy - Index Calculation Platform Director and will be a partner in the development of the future state FTSE Russell Index Platform. This role will require the candidate to successfully interact with various internal teams, crafting solutions, owning specifications used for development, and ensuring sound execution. They will serve as a liaison between FTSE Russell customers, business partners, other technology capabilities within FTSE Russell and outside FTSE Russell, and the Delivery organisation, they will input into the Data roadmap in line with broader Index Platform Strategy and Vision. Critical to the role is a strong Agile and collaborative mindset, working well across many diverse groups and balancing outcomes that help drive capability excellence but also FTSE Russell goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Converting a product vision for an Index Review Capability into a series of epics and user stories to help turn that vision into reality.

  • Contributes to the roadmap for their capability area, communicating that across FTSE Russell to the wider stakeholder groups.

  • Defines requirements for new platform, ensuring these are well articulated and understood by technology

  • Delivers against set objectives for a medium product or cluster of medium products with a considerable level of expertise and specialisation in the relevant product lines.

  • Understands overall product roadmap and strategy, monitoring strategic and critical metrics, drawing insights and conclusions from data to input into roadmap decisions.

  • Handles own work proactively and other's accordingly and as directed by senior colleagues to meet overall objectives, providing mentorship and development for more junior colleagues.

  • Be involved in product marketing to ensure content is appropriately provided

  • Seeks the expansion / improvement of existing products within own remit rather than the conceptualisation of new products, establishing the case for product improvements.

  • Ensures client engagement, communicates roadmaps to the client community and is responsible for feedback

  • Provides guidance on strategy, design, business requirements, feature and functionality trade-offs and release schedule for a proposition, set of propositions, products, or services.

  • Leads cross-functional teams in order to ensure dependencies for proposition, product or service delivery are met, following relevant lean, agile and ways of working methodologies.

  • Works closely with client teams to capture and prioritize client feedback to drive innovation and increase client adoption and retention.

Profile/Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Index Review concepts across Benchmark style indices (FTSE GEIS / FTSE/Russell US)

  • Understanding of data sources that drive eligibility, selection & weighting logic.

  • Experience communicating ideas and concepts; facilitating training and handover of deliverables & processes.

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in product ownership / technology / business analysis / operations / application delivery in banking or financial domain.

  • Exposure to working in Equities and Equity Indices.

  • Experience in dealing with end clients.

  • Experience with Agile delivery

Compensation/Benefits Information (Washingtonapplicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $113,400 - $210,800.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
