Your Role

Gensler is seeking a professional, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Public Relations Coordinator, specifically supporting our Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver offices. The ideal candidate has a passion for design and views PR as a people-centered activity. They will work alongside our Regional Public Relations Manager sitting in the Seattle office to provide PR admin and related activities representing Gensler's brand, reputation, and thought leadership in our markets.

What You Will Do

PR Admin and Speaking Engagements

  • Assist in drafting communication materials as needed including website project story content, speaker proposal abstracts, and other copywriting, as needed

  • Collect relevant market news and compile into weekly Industry News Brief

  • Track conferences/events and speaking engagements

  • Additional PR admin tasks, as needed

  • Assistance with events coordination, as needed

Social Media

  • Assist with brainstorming content for Instagram calendars, writing copy, and maintaining social media presence

  • Support with graphics/design and content creation for social media posts (InDesign experience required)

  • Assist with capturing relevant and engaging content (photos/video) of office events (internal and external) for use in social media posts/Reels where applicable (PhotoShop experience preferred)

  • Work with PR Manager and local teams to create market-specific contentand assist with scheduling through HootSuite

Awards& Surveys

  • Work withPR Manager to determine awards programs and projectsfor submission

  • Oversee the awards calendar and track due dates

  • Assist design teams withcreating submissions

  • Compile and upload submissions

  • Track wins/losses/etc. in internal tracker and systems

  • Assist with surveysand data management

Photography

  • Provide administrative support to project teamsfor pre-shoot planning and coordination of photo shoot logistics

  • Facilitate ongoing clear communication between the photography teamandthe design team

  • Attend photoshoots (local), as needed

  • Coordinate invoicing process with photographer/vendors/etc.

  • Upload finished photography to digital asset management system

Your Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a variety of public relations, media, communications, or marketing roles, either agency based or in-house. Experience in business-to-business is preferred over business-to-consumer

  • Strong writing, editing, grammar, and interpersonal skills required

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Ability to craft, prepare, and execute writing assignments (project narratives, social media posts, other communications, as needed) under deadlines

  • Team player and collaborator, works cohesively as a member of a broader communications team, pitches in to help others, forward-thinking go-getter, ability to adapt in dynamic settings

  • Software: Microsoft Office, InDesign, PhotoShop, HootSuite, Miro, Adobe Premier (preferred)

*The base salary will be estimated between $67,500 - $82,500 (approximately $32 - $40/hr) plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
