OverviewThe scale of Azure continues to grow at a very fast pace, and at the same time our commitment to customers to keep the cloud safe, compliant and reliable gets stronger. Year over year we continue to look for additional opportunities to increase our engineering efficiency to continue delivering on these customer promises. We are looking for a customer-centric and quality-focused, Principal Technical Program Manager to lead our strategy and roadmap of platform investments on this initiative.This is a leadership position with big positive impact to our Azure customers and to hundreds of engineering teams in Microsoft. This role is a great fit for someone that loves solving complex technical problems in a way that addresses best both business and customer requirements, someone that is passionate for quality and for increasing engineering efficiency, and someone for whom there are no organizational boundaries when it comes to delivering improvements for our customers. Within this role you will be leading and working side by side strong engineering teams across multiple organizations. ResponsibilitiesManage a complex area, with executive visibility and many critical cross group dependencies.Drive projects that require collaboration from multiple teams across Microsoft while sharing a common strategic vision. In partnership with our engineering leaders, help teams understand their role in contributing to improving the engineering culture in Microsoft and the value of continue adopting best practices and standards.Drive and communicate the overall strategy for each key project initiative, both the short term execution and priorities, as well as the vision and roadmap.Influence and partner with key internal partners to develop detailed platform improvements plans, gather feedback, manage dependencies, and ensure project success.Prepare and deliver high quality executive reviews, as well as engaging audiences at different levels.Keep pace with emerging standards and best practices across Azure, and leverage learnings to improve our future platform roadmap.
