Land Coordinator Summary:

Provide administrative assistance and coordination to maintain and track land opportunities, prepare feasibility books, interface with escrow and title companies, brokers, attorneys, and various consultants. Ability to handle priorities under pressure. Notary required.



Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to department managers.
  • Maintain land acquisition files.
  • Organize and track land opportunities if required.
  • Assist in coordination and communication with legal counsel, architects, brokers, and consultants in the acquisition efforts.
  • Monitor and maintain deposit payments and close of escrow schedule.
  • Monitor due-diligence budgets, and expedite invoices payments.
  • Maintain and organize market research files and reports.
  • Track incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Assist in making minor adjustments to financial proformas, if required.
  • Assist in distributing internal feasibility memos.
  • Schedule and monitor feasibility meetings.
  • Prepare collateral material (aerial photos, maps, exhibits, cover, etc.).
  • Assemble, format, organize, and distribute feasibility folders.
  • Coordinate opportunities market research.
  • Monitor Market Consultants' schedules and reports.
  • Provide project specific market data.
  • Coordinate with escrow and title companies through new acquisitions.
  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of the close out documents.
  • File and maintain escrow and title documents.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Three (3) - five (5) years minimum with a home-builder, developer, or real estate related company
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Professional work ethic, good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent math, written and oral communication skills
  • Unrestricted motor vehicle license
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and JD Edwards systems experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Home building or title company experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to handle priorities under pressure
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required.
  • Follow directions from a supervisor
  • Interact well with co-workers
  • Understand and follow posted and distributed work rules and procedures
  • Accept constructive criticism

Physical Requirements:

This is a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
