Financial Analyst Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with analytical and reporting needs of all departments within the division



Responsibilities

  • Prepare graphs for weekly pricing; adding backlog and available inventory homes to updated CMA.
  • Prepare financial proformas for 1st community release; research all variances compared to underwriting and business plan/forecast.
  • Prepare vestacalcs for acquisition team as needed.
  • Assist with updating CMA's.
  • Prepare Backlog Profitability Report.
  • Prepare analytical comparison of actual results to business plan/forecast, and identify areas of cost or process improvement.
  • Prepare updates and reviews for quarterly operations reviews.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual business plan.
  • Assist in preparation of the quarterly business plan updates.
  • Assist in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience residential construction firms, or consulting firms serving residential real estate industry clients
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferred emphasis in accounting, finance or real estate; CPA or MBA a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, especially regarding spreadsheet analysis
  • Ability to understand concepts relating site development costs, home construction costs and community profitability
  • A willingness to step up and perform in a team setting; the candidate will be working with some of the most innovative members and projects at the company.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, utilizing multi-tasking skills.
  • Organizational skills required; meeting deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to prepare presentation quality material
  • Ability to meet reporting deadlines
  • Interact well with co-workers
  • Comply with and implement company policies and procedures
  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Strong work ethic and team player

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position, which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift and carry office supplies and materials of weights of 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Position may require the ability to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

The *median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $92,131/annual, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations.
