OverviewMicrosoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Senior Datacenter Systems Engineer you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters in 32 countries and millions of servers. ResponsibilitiesDerive requirements for datacenter power and cooling systems based on high level concepts.Provides make-versus-buy recommendations to management with tradeoffs based on complexity, financial impact, quality, reliability, and time duration.Creates robust, scalable, secure and extensible verification plans for the hardware engineering aspects of data centers.Drive system engineering analysis of the proposed requirements.Identify key system inflection points to aid in design specific decisions.Drive brainstorming sessions for various technical teams in the organization.Influence and communicate: Lead executive-level communication and influence cross-functional stakeholders.Lead cross-functional teams to drive implementation of strategic projects: from defining plans, monitoring progress, tracking key metrics, and removing roadblock to delivering results.Support Monthly Business Review content and meetings.Manage work in Azure Dev Ops and associated tracking tools.Embody our Culture and Values
