We are continuing to grow! We are currently accepting applications for an upcoming CNC Machinist I need at our Renton location.

CNC Machinist I

Location: Renton, WA

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule:

4, 10-hour shifts per week!

Start Times at 4:30 a.m./5:30 a.m. (Monday-Thursday)

Pay: $24.47 - $48.56

Position

The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machinist operates machines, develops new programs for production runs, modifies existing programs for all machines, and trains less skilled operators. This includes performing quality checks to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications. The CNC Machinist also works with engineers to look for product modifications that might reduce the amount of material or fabrication time.

CNC Operator Responsibilities include:

  • Develop CNC programs for production runs.
  • Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Work with Engineers to modify existing programs for different machines.
  • Make manual program adjustments as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills
  • Familiarity with Mastercam and CATIAV5
  • Performing machine adjustment calculations.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine programming parameters.
  • Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
  • Teamwork first mentality.
  • Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus

Experience

  • 4+ years of machining/progressive CNC programming experience.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
