Job Description:


* Recognize, document, and escalate protocol deviations to stakeholders
* Ensure equipment and instruments remain in good operating condition, recognize any malfunctions and troubleshoot as needed
* Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of methods performed in the lab
* Provide feedback on the workflows and participate in developing solutions to pinch points, throughput limitations, and data quality
* Work with a team of researchers to extend and interpret advanced analytical methodologies.
* Facilitate interactions with collaborators, both internal and external, to develop efficiencies for cutting edge analytical methods.
* Adapt to unexpected schedule changes and respond to emergency situations, as needed Basic qualifications
* Hands-on expertise with cutting edge molecular biology, microbiology and/or biochemistry methods and concepts.
* Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to work successfully within an entrepreneurial environment.
* Excellent organizational skills, with great attention to detail and record keeping.
* Strong verbal and written communication skill
* Knowledge of safety procedures relating to operation of laboratory equipment and handling of chemical and biohazards Preferred qualifications
* PhD degree within life sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Microbiology) and 5-7 years of directly-related commercial experience
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams at the interface of life science and computer science. * Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis. * Broad familiarity with different areas of the life sciences. * Hands-on experience in high-throughput research, incl. operation of liquid handlers.
