***Preferred local to Maui. Position is open to remote; however, travel as needed is required.***

Primary Functions

Responsible for creating and/or reviewing cost estimates relevant to their discipline (Civil, Structural, Architectural, Electrical and/or Mechanical).

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized.

Actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop bottom-up, parametric, and analogous cost estimates using cost estimating software such as PACES, MII, RS Means, and others.
  • Perform and document detailed quantity takeoffs.
  • Perform Quality Control on cost estimates (analyzing cost estimates for reasonableness)
  • Internal and external communication required for the successful execution of project deliverables.
  • Perform research and data analysis to support final deliverables.
  • Prepare variance analyses of cost estimates.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in an acceptable cost estimating, cost consulting, and/or construction related field.
  • Experience with commercially available cost estimating software (PACES, MII, RS Means, etc.)
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional skills with online collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.)
  • Align work schedule to be reasonably available during 9am to 5pm UTC.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team of diverse staff.
  • Must be in proximity of project location as client requires
  • Travel to project location if not local to project
  • Must be a U.S. CITIZEN

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or construction related field.
  • Certification (PE, CCP, PMP, etc.)
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Passport or the ability to acquire one for business travel.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is normally performed in a remote work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
