Position Summary:

This position offers accurate data submission, to relay accurate and timely information to staff and to complete work in a timely, professional fashion according to data submission standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews client enrollment data and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, MCO, and county regulations.
  • Gathers data, prepares reports for posting accurate data
  • Compiles, sorts documents, verifies accuracy of data, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
  • Contacts originators of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
  • Reviews error reports and enters corrections into computer system.
  • Files or routes source documents after entry.
  • Reads all progress notes, runs service history and failed activities report and compares duration, service codes and location code to note written content.
  • Verifies that all data entered is correct before posting services.
  • Posts all services in a timely fashion to meet MCO guidelines for all Mental Health program services
  • Continuous knowledge of CPT codes and each code description.
  • Assist with medical records as needed
  • Provides backup for administrative staff as needed
  • Will participate in MCO meetings for data updates as needed
  • Will keep track of clinical error rates and report to supervisors as needed
  • Will have knowledge of Service Encounter Reporting Instructions and will keep track of changes
  • Assure discreet handling of all business
  • Practice confidentiality in accordance of agency policy

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the psychical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertions, talking and hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to preform job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.

Non-Physical Requirement:

Education

  • High School Diploma, Required

Experience

  • 2 years experience with EMR/HER System
  • Knowledge of State Date requirements related to community Mental Health

Special Skills

  • Pleasant, welcoming and friendly demeanor with staff and clients
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Detailed oriented and able to multi task
  • Computer word processing using Microsoft packages
  • Experienced use of standard office equipment, including computer, copier, fax, phone, calculator, TTY, or other equipment found in work unit.
  • Maintain positive, team-oriented service attitude toward clients and staff.
  • The ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills.

Licenses, Registration, Or Certification:

  • Valid Washington State Drivers License and agency required liability insurance

Employment is conditional upon:

  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
