Overview

Verathon is looking for a Finance Manager to become the newest member of our Finance/Accounting Team located in Bothell, WA. This is a hybrid position, working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in Office and Wednesday and Friday remotely.

The Finance Manager will support Commercial Sales and is responsible for partnering directly with members of the executive staff, key leaders, and their teams to drive strategic objectives, provide in-depth analysis of global trends and operating performance, direct the annual operating plan, lead and own the close and forecast rhythms, and ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
Responsibilities

* Partner directly with the executive staff, key leaders, and their teams to drive strategic objectives and provide advisory support to improve outcomes and decision-making

* Develop a deep understanding of the industry and Verathon's strategic objectives

* Provide in-depth analysis of global trends and operating performance

* Model business opportunities

* Propose well informed recommendations and solutions based on this analysis.

* Direct the annual operating plan with global leadership

* Partner closely with business unit finance leaders to ensure alignment of revenue assumptions and outputs

* Develop a comprehensive and accurate opex, including commissions, budget in line with the operating plan

* Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close rhythm

* Ensure financial results are reported accurately and clearly

* Conduct monthly discussions with business leads to support their understanding of financial results, issues, and opportunities

* Work closely with global leaders to incorporate business updates into financial forecasts and model expenses based on latest data

* Ensure controls are established and followed to safeguard assets and maintain compliant operations

* Provide leadership in optimizing demo inventory, including identifying opportunities to reduce excess and obsolete

* Act as liaison with the Controller's team.

Qualifications

* 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred.

* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with executive leaders and teams across an international organization

* Self-starter with ability to positively influence others

* Demonstrated excellent communication and advisory skills

* Demonstrated ability to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner

* Must be able to educate non-financial managers

* Demonstrated track record of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, including macroeconomic and financial modeling

* Ability to apply good judgment to business planning and commercial matters

* Demonstrated ability to be organized and consistently deliver results accurately and on-time

* Deep understanding of financial reporting systems and demonstrated ability to use them effectively to yield actionable business insights

* Experience with multi-dimensional databases and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

* Advanced Excel skills are required

Salary range - $115,000 - $144,603 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location. If this position is filled outside the Seattle WA metro area, this salary range will vary depending on the specific hiring location.)

Full-time non-sales employees are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
