Summary:

The Service Engineer - DICOM represents Service and Technical Support for a variety of cross-functional initiatives including high-profile customer site visits. Service's DICOM expert for the Fujifilm Sonosite product line, lending knowledge and expertise throughout the company. Provides DICOM and networking training to service personnel, including external biomeds. Responsible for additional duties and projects, as assigned by manager, that require a high-level understanding of products and/or processes.

Essential Job Functions:

    Visit high-profile customer sites to troubleshoot customer issues involving DICOM workflow and network connectivity.
  • Represent Service and Technical Support on product core teams, working cross-functionally to quickly resolve product defects.
  • Establish, publish, and improve service procedures and tools to improve responsiveness, customer satisfaction, and forward-looking quality outcomes.
  • Point of contact for escalated service issues, providing technical guidance to Technical Support and Service Repair personnel.
  • Own special investigation of incoming customer returns, working with Engineering and Regulatory as needed.
  • Deliver formal DICOM and connectivity training to Service and Technical Support personnel, Clinical Application Specialists, Territory Managers, and external hospital biomeds.
  • Additional responsibilities on an as-needed basis.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or similar with 3-5 years broad-based experience in Technical Support / Service and Project Management. Lesser technical degree considered with 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting DICOM devices and hospital networks
  • Extensive knowledge of DICOM and networking standards.
  • Working knowledge of complex PCBA-based electro-mechanical systems and the failure mechanisms common to them.
  • Training and working experience in formal problem-solving techniques.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to act with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent customer-facing written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with standard office software (e.g. Google Sheets or MS Office), including conferencing software (e.g. Teams, Zoom).
  • Proficient with data management tools (e.g Database, SQL, Excel, or Tableau).
  • Familiarity with use of commercial change management software in a regulated environment.
  • Able to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.

*** position will require 25-50% travel

Salary and Benefits:

  • $55,000 - $70,000 + variable bonus opportunity
