Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Journey level Precision Deburr/Finisher to join our talented Machine Shop team in Redmond, Washington. This position typically works 4 10-hour days (Monday- Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm) but candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules.

Essential Functions

80% - Perform precision deburring and finishing under up to 20X power magnification on close tolerance space hardware. Hold tolerances of .002" to .005" on edge breaks and radiuses. Maintain a rejection rate of less than 2%. Read and understand engineering blueprints and follow production plans. Use precision measuring instruments such as Calipers, Micrometers, etc.

15% - Set-up and operate Die grinders, Angle grinders and Pencil grinders for blending procedures.

5% - Operate micro-blaster.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and six (6) years of close tolerance deburr experience. Knowledge of machining materials such as aluminum, tool, alloy, carbon steels, stainless steel, titanium, plastics and Inconel is preferred. Requires the willingness and ability to work overtime as necessary.

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel items. The employee is regularly expected to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee will need to work near moving mechanical parts and in loud working conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, chemicals or airborne particles.

Pay range for this position:
33.41 - 49.12 per hour
