Summary:

As a Component Engineer you will be a part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists. You will be responsible for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical component & supplier selection, analysis, and documentation to meet technical requirements during concept and development stages of electrical assemblies for Ultrasound Systems. Your expertise as a Component Engineer will help the team develop and evolve our standards for EEE component testing, screening, and qualification. You will assist our teams to mitigate the cost, performance, and schedule risks. In this role you will share in the team's effort to improve the overall quality, performance, and reliability.

**This position will be onsite 3 days a week, in Bothell WA**

Essential Job Functions:

    Evaluate electrical off the shelf and proprietary components
  • Analyze electronic component datasheets
  • Specify alternate component sources, vendors, and manufacturers
  • Develop performance criteria and critical specifications for components
  • Review and analyze component lifecycle, availability & supply chain risks
  • Review component specifications for environmental and regulatory compliance
  • Manage component documentation (MCOs/CNs, Drawings, Technical Design Files)
  • Communicate, coordinate, and consult with cross-functional team
  • Monitor component technology roadmaps or industry trends
  • Investigate alternate components or suppliers to reduce cost, improve quality and/or reliability

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years experience in component engineering experience dealing with electronic & electromechanical component specification and selection
  • Experience with all MS Office Productivity Suite
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Understanding of Environmental regulations (RoHS Directives, REACH)
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools (Agile)
  • Familiarity of regulation listings (UL, ETL, CSA, CE) in support of assigned components

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, with or without accommodations

Salary and Benefits:

  • $97,000 - $127,000 depending on experience + variable bonus opportunity
