To strengthen our Business Development Team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Senior Manager, Strategic Meeting Solutions.


As a Senior Manager, Strategic Meeting Solutions you will lead US Commercial Operations in managing a variety of national/regional sales & marketing, incentive, market access, and internal meetings through all stages of the event lifecycle (i.e., sourcing, planning, executing, closing, etc.)


You like to work in an environment where you can:
* Ability to provide a high-level of strategic, consultative meeting & event planning expertise, supporting business owners in developing and executing an annual or multi-year meeting management strategy
* Willingness to independently provide consultative guidance to US-based clients and function as the full-service planner (or use third-party agencies) to meet business needs, achieve meeting goals/objectives, and satisfy/exceed client expectations
* Ability to scope areas of responsibility include end-to-end program/project management (planning, budget, third-party relationships, meeting execution, and program close-out tasks)
* Ability to collaborate with multiple internal business partners and meeting & event stakeholders to define requirements, identify meeting goals & objectives, define strategic approaches & options in accordance with UCB's meeting logistics and travel policies, and develop tactical execution plans required to meet and/or exceed program/project constraints (scope, schedule, cost, & quality)

You will contribute by:
* Maintaining visibility of hotel sourcing, negotiation, and contracting providing detailed availability reports and guidance to the end client for site selection (in conjunction with internal Procurement department)
* Effectively manage RFP and contracting process for non-hotel suppliers (DMC, decor, entertainment)
* Communicate accurately and timely product information, utilizing approved materials (e.g. Prescribing Information, Question & Answer Documents)
* Developing and maintaining program budget and cost savings analysis for each program
* Managing all vendor deposits and final payments

Interested? For this position you'll need the following education, experience and skills:
* Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience in corporate meeting management or related logistics field
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of direct, in-house pharmaceutical experience
* Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) preferred, not required
