Key Responsibilities

Provide project management for single or multi-site communications projects provide subcontractor management, develop, and communicate timelines, manage budget, manage scope, manage stakeholders, and ensure customer and DWS success.

  • Work as trusted advisor with customer, work with internal and external teams to deliver successful projects, travel to customer and/or partner locations as required, successfully complete customer mandated training.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Project Management concepts, Construction Project Management, Familiarity with National Fire Code.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, Good communication skills, verbal and written, Good persuasion and negotiation skills, Ability to troubleshoot issues/problems, Ability to learn new technologies and hardware quickly, Ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers, ability to delegate, strong follow up,
  • Meticulous approach to producing high quality results, Results orientation with a strong focus on meeting challenging customer commitments.
  • Serves as key participant in meetings with co-workers, customers, vendors, other stakeholders. Confronts and addresses issues openly and quickly, tactfully communicates difficult and sensitive information.
  • Fosters and promotes creative and innovative thinking and positive work relationships among team members.
  • Ability to use basic office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD Lite, Outlook/Email, Excellent oral and written communication skills.
 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or vocational training specializing in project and or business management preferred. 5+ years of experience in roles requiring strong decision making and organizational skills preferably in operational management, scheduling and budgeting.

 

  • Ideal experience: Communication site development, tower construction, wireless networks, and 911 emergency dispatch centers.

 

Licenses, Certifications:

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and be insurable per an acceptable driving record.

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) credential required.

 

 

Qualifications

Summary:

In general, the SB Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals under the Strategic Business Division. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This position will be responsible for a range of project including some of the highest profile project in the Company.
