We are seeking a Senior Site Assessment and Remediation Engineer to join our team of site assessment and remediation experts. This leadership position is a seller-doer responsible for leading growth, developing client relationships, managing teams, and serving as a senior technical expert. The team works to serve our existing and rapidly growing client base in multiple sectors; including industrial clients (ie: aerospace, manufacturing, food service, etc.), healthcare, biotech, schools and universities, development (real estate and construction), and municipal.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Engineer position will be involved in both field and office related engineering tasks in support of environmental investigation and remediation projects. Key job functions and responsibilities include the following:

    Assisting in the preparation of feasibility studies including identifying applicable remedial technologies, developing remedial alternatives, and preparing a detailed comparative evaluation of alternatives;
  • Preparing engineering cost estimates for remediation alternatives;
  • Assisting with the preparation of engineering design drawings and specifications, project bidding, and selection of remedial contractors;
  • Overseeing the implementation of remedial actions and preparing reports summarizing the work;
  • Developing work plans for site investigation and remediation activities;
  • Overseeing the operations and maintenance of ongoing remediation systems including; and
  • Preparing cleanup action reports, engineering reports, and project permitting requirements.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 4 to 8 years of relevant project experience supporting environmental investigation and cleanup projects. A BS/MS in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical engineering, and WA professional engineering registration are required. Must have 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER training certificate with current annual refresher, excellent written/verbal communication skills, practical problem solving abilities, and be willing to work independently and as member of a diverse project team.

The pay range for this Washington position is $80,000.00- $98,000.00 per year; based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. NV5 may provide restricted stock units, sign-on bonuses, stay bonuses, or relocation allowances as part of the compensation package. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are also offered to full-time employees, along with Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts, with employee and employer contributions. 3 weeks of Paid Time Off a year for full-time employees along with 8 paid holidays a year. 401(k) savings plan; Company Paid Basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance; Company Paid Short-term and long-term disability insurance are also provided.
