Senior Manager - Building Official
$7325 per month, plus benefits

There is one opening with the Yakima County Public Services Building and Fire Safety Department. This
position is responsible for overseeing and managing all functions of the Building & Fire Safety Division of Public Services including the development, interpretation, adjustment and implementation of building and fire code policies, and developing, implementing, administering, assigning and coordinating resources, staff and
activities for the Division and establishment of program precedence. Education and Experience: Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering or Architecture or related field and 6 years of experience or equivalent as an architect,
engineer, inspector, contractor, or superintendent of construction, or any combination of these and of which
three years shall have been supervisory experience. Required: A valid WA driver's license at time of appointment and proof of insurance, if requested. ICC certification as a Certified Building Official (CBO) or WABO accredited Code Official (ACO). ICC certification as Plans Examiner or Building Inspector.
